Yesterday, I mentioned our late night karaoke duet when SciBlings converged on New York City. Thanks to Coturnix's phenomenal camera work, the performance has been filmed for posterity in short segments which I've spliced together. [Note we do not actually appear on screen for the first half.] The camera is swung about liberally, so I should probably supply some kind of warning for women who are pregnant or those with sensitive stomachs. In fact, this entire video is not for the faint of heart...
That said, sit back, relax, and enjoy the Mooney-Kirshenbaum rendition of Dylan's 'The Times They Are a Changin' that Chris dedicated to George W. Bush:
I like how the camera does a total spin while we sing "...for the wheel's still in spin..."
Yeah totally a health hazard to watch this video.
Ah, that brings back memories...now if only I had video for the entire evening...
Seriously, that was a highlight of the evening. You guys were great.
Thanks Zuska! I'm not sure if 'great' is the adjective I'd use to describe this, but we'll take what we can get ;)
Wow! I didn't think I had THAT much to drink that night...
Sheril, I couldn't hear you too well - but Chris, you've got some pipes!
Chris, I think the right Mooney went into the music biz.
But you've got a knack for dedicating your work.
I take my dedications seriously, too. (Click my name and scroll down a bit for my favorite.)
Sheril's mike wasn't working so it wasn't entirely fair.
For the record I want everyone to know that I told the bouncer at the door of this karaoke joint not to let the Sciblings crew in, because they would ruin the place and scare all he customers away.
Unwisely, he didn't listen to me.
You're no Bob Dylan (who is?) but you did stay on message, and that's a credit to you, especially in that situation....
"...so you better start swimmin' or you'll sink like a stone...for the times, the ARE a-changin'"
I have a problem with the framing of the video.
You guys should consider yourselves that I was probably outside smoking while this was going on.
Same goes for Razib.
Consider yourselves lucky, I meant to say!
